Linking storage locations to stock items
You can define the precise storage locations within a distribution point where stock items are stored. You can do this by linking a stock item to one or more storage locations within a distribution point. You can add new storage locations at Stock items > Storage locations step. The storage locations can be linked to stock items by following this procedure:
Procedure
1. In the Stock TSI, navigate to the Stock items level.
2. Select a stock item which you want to link to a storage location.
3. On the action panel, click Link storage locations.
The Link storage locations dialog box appears.
4. Select one or more storage locations in the Available list and move them to the In use section.
Archived storage locations are not displayed.
5. Click OK.
The stock item is linked to the selected storage location(s). The links between stock items and their storage locations can also be maintained at Stock movements > Storage locations.
