Stock movements
Stock movements include all transactions and activities that track the flow of products in and out of distribution points in the Planon Stock TSI.
The stock movements include:
Stock requests: these are requests to a store manager to deliver a certain product on a requested date, which are created automatically when product requisitions are accepted.
Replenishments: The re-ordering of products whose stock level is no longer sufficient, which can be done manually or automatically to maintain adequate stock levels.
Receipts: The process of receiving products delivered due to a purchase order and registering them as stock items in the distribution point.
Issuings: The process of handing over reserved products to requestors, which creates issuing lines in the system.
Issue returns: The reversal of issued stock items, typically when the wrong product was issued, the product is defective, or too many products were delivered.
Stock transfers: The partial or complete movement of stock from one distribution point to another to reduce stock levels appropriately or make stock available where it is in more demand.
Stock modifications: Changes in stock at a distribution point, including stocktaking (physical counting and verification of stock quantities) and stock adjustments (adding or removing individual products from stock).
You can view and manage stock movements on the Stock movements level of the Stock TSI, which includes steps for Stock requests, Replenishment suggestions, Receipts, Receipt lines, Issuing lines, Issue returns, Issue return lines, Returns, Return lines, Stock modifications, Stock transfers, and Storage locations.
