A stock request is a request to a store manager, to deliver a certain product (stock item) on a requested date.

A stock request is created automatically on accepting a requisition containing a requisition line for a stock item. A stock request is also created when a requisition line that was added to a work order or planned maintenance order is accepted.

A stock request needs to be reserved to confirm the availability of the requested stock items, before making it ready for issuing. If there is not enough stock for the requested items, a partial delivery of the stock request can be made till the remaining quantity is replenished.
