Stock item batch
A stock item batch is created for every 'movement in' of a product.
A stock item batch of a product is created in the following instances:
• On confirming a purchase order receipt.
• On confirming a (positive) stock mutation/taking.
• On confirming an issue return.
• On receiving a stock transfer.
Additionally, an 'initial' stock item batch is created at the moment that stock valuation is turned on. This batch represents the value of the products that are currently in stock.

The stock valuation related fields on a stock item are recalculated in case:
• A stock item batch is created or when its price/VAT is changed.
• A stock item batch modification is created.
