Planon application managers can use SDI Configuration to process SDI definitions.
Process overviewProcess overview
Process description
1. The application manager liaises with the customer and creates a Planon configuration.
2. Based on the layout configuration, an SDI definition and a template (Excel) is generated.
3. The customer downloads the template (Excel) in Data onboarding and fills out the required data.
4. The customer ensures that the Excel file is compliant with the template and uploads it in Data onboarding.
5. The file is validated, if no errors occur the data can be imported into Planon.

For information about the first two steps, see Generating an SDI definition ( TSIs ).
SDI Configuration provides similar but more extensive functionality as Data onboarding does.
