Modifying the time or duration of a main reservation with suborders
When the start or end time or the duration of a main reservation is adjusted, or when the entire main reservation is moved to a different time slot, it is important to understand how these changes affect any linked suborders.
With the following settings, you can determine how a suborder behaves when changes are made to the timing or duration of the main reservation:
• Preserve order duration?
If set to Yes, the duration of the linked suborder will remain unchanged when shifting the start or end time of the main reservation. The start and end times of the suborder will remain the same, irrespective of inheritance settings defined in Field definer .
If set to No, the duration of the linked suborder will change in sync with the main reservation. For example, if a main reservation is extended by 2 hours, the associated suborder will also be extended by 2 hours. The default setting for this field is No.
• Preserve order start time?
If set to Yes, the start time of the linked suborder will remain unchanged. This means that regardless of any adjustments made to the start time of the main reservation — whether it is shortened, lengthened, or if the main reservation is moved to different time slot— the start time of the suborder will remain unaffected.
If set to No, the start time of the linked suborder will change in sync with the main reservation. The default setting for this field is No.
Please consider the following
scenarios to understand how these settings work.
