Field / column
Description
Name
Displays different financial components, such as income and expenses.
When the forecast level equals cash flow, general ledgers are not shown, and input is entered at the cash flow level.
When the forecast level equals general ledger, the general ledger level is shown, and input must also be entered at this level.
Cash flow definition
Cash flow lines are categorized into:
1. Mandatory: These lines are read-only and show a total over the forecast period (with the format 0,000,000; this format will depend on the regional/language settings).
2. Fixed: Fixed line items do not change across forecast periods but may vary by strategy.
Key items include:
Acquisition: Add, delete, and edit details like acquisition date and price.
Forward funding: Adjust the interest rate and key handover date.
Disposition: Add or delete dispositions with details like disposition date and price.
3. Dynamic: Dynamic lines represent cash flows that can either be imported from a source or manually entered.
If imported, the cash flow total shows as 0,000,000, and you can’t edit it. If not imported, you can enter the cash flows yourself.
If not imported, you can enter the assumptions used to calculate the cash flow yourself. These depend on the type of event (like recurring or one-time) and whether it’s an operating or investing activity.
The type of input depends on the configuration of the financial statement. Continuous and recurring events display a pop-up where you can enter the quantity, method, and start date. Single and variable events display a slide-up panel where you can enter multiple lines for each cash flow or general ledger line.
Forecast period
The forecast shows the calculated cash flows during the forecast period, based on the selected method in the column header. Click on the forecast period amount to open the slide-in. A slide-in will be opened that shows all calculated cash flows during the forecast period. You can view the results in the Financial statements screen. For more information, see Financial statements.
Actuals
This column is only visible if the forecast level is set to General ledger. If the process type is Valuation, the column is not displayed.
Notes
