Budget upload
A system administrator can upload an initial budget or update an existing budget via an Excel file in the application settings. This budget can then be used for monitoring and alignment purposes or as the basis for a new budget update.
Accessing Budget upload
Navigate to Company Settings > Budget upload to access the budget upload screen. The screen includes:
A table of previously uploaded budgets
The Upload budget button to initiate a new upload
System administrators can delete uploads unless:
The upload is an initial budget already used for an update budget
Uploading a budget – 3-Step Wizard
Step 1: Download template
You can download an Excel template to fill in your budget data. The template includes the following required columns:
Property code
General ledger code
Budget amount
Date
Step 2: Enter budget details
You must indicate whether the upload is for an initial budget or an update budget.
For initial budget, provide:
Budget name (mandatory and unique)
Start date budget (mandatory)
Budget period (mandatory)
Start date forecast (mandatory)
For update budget, provide:
Initial budget (selection from previously uploaded initial budgets)
Start date budget (auto-populated from selected initial budget)
Budget period (auto-populated)
Start date forecast (mandatory)

The start date of the budget must be less than or equal to the start date of the forecast.
Step 3: Upload File
Upload the completed Excel template (.xlsx format only).
Only one file can be uploaded at a time.
Real-time feedback is provided on the upload status (in progress / failed / succeeded).
Once the upload succeeds click Save to close the dialog.
Integration with other screens
Uploaded budgets are selectable in:
Monitoring and alignment screen
Process instance configuration: If an update budget is configured, the dropdown in step 1 shows available initial budgets.
