Deleting a digital twin

To maintain your IoT environment, you may need to remove digital twins that are no longer required.

Procedure

1. Go to the business object for which you want to delete a digital twin.

2. Select the required item from the elements list and click Delete digital twin in the action panel.

A warning message appears asking you for confirmation.

Alternatively, select a number of elements and click Action on selection > Delete digital twin.

3. Click Proceed to delete the digital twin.

This removes the link with the IoT platform and actually deletes the data there.

Keep in mind that this removes the complete history of readings of the digital twin for this business object permanently!
