Mobile IoT Module
The Mobile IoT module enables you to make Digital Twin information available in the Planon Live app. After configuration, end users can view datapoint readings and perform actions (commands) directly from their mobile device.
Configure the Mobile IoT module
The Mobile IoT step must be added to the PWEA (Live app) TSI configuration.
Step 1: Add the Mobile IoT step to the TSI
1. Go to TSIs > PWEA app configuration.
2. Set the TSI status to Under construction.
3. Click Add (+) to add a step.
The Add or remove steps dialog appears.
4. Select MobileIoT_Step, move it to Selected, and click OK.
5. Set the TSI status to Completed.
6. Log off and log on again.
Step 2: Create a Mobile IoT definition
1. Go to Live app > PWEA (Live app) TSI.
2. Select the Mobile IoT module.
3. Click Add to create a new PSS definition.
4. Enter a Name and click Save. After saving:
The configuration panel (left side) displays the available pages and blocks.
You can provide translations for the definition.
Step 3: Configure Business Object (BO)–specific views
You can create separate views for different Digital Twin–enabled Business Objects (for example, Spaces or Assets).
1. Select the Business Object (BO).
2. Enter a Name and Description, then click Save.
A BO-specific Digital Twin structure is created automatically.
The structure appears in the lower panel.
Step 4: Configure Digital Twin structure
Each Digital Twin includes three default summary blocks:
Information
Displays general object information. You can add additional fields if required.
Readings
Displays datapoint readings (limited to the first 4–5 values).
Users can open the full list via the All readings view.
Commands
Allows users to perform actions (for example, adjust temperature, control blinds, switch devices on/off).
Step 5: Configure layout and sorting
The configuration follows standard Web definition behavior:
Define field positions and layout
Provide translations
For Readings, you can configure sorting:
Sort by
Date-Time: Shows the most recently updated datapoints first
Name: Alphabetical order
Sort ascending
Yes: Ascending order
No: Descending order
Step 6: Assign access
1. Select the Mobile IoT module in the upper-left panel.
2. Link a user group to the module.
This grants users access to the Mobile IoT module in the Planon Live app.
3. Log off and log on again.
