Included and excluded building parts
Each building part can have the status Included or Excluded in your scenario.
• Included means the building part is taken into account in the circularity calculation.
• Excluded means the building part is not considered in the calculation.
A building part can be excluded for two reasons:
1. System-based exclusion
Planon may automatically exclude a building part. For example, if the linked standard product is no longer valid on the reference date, Planon will set the status to Excluded.
In this case, you should review the building part and link a valid standard product to include it in the calculation again.
2. User-based exclusion
You may also choose to exclude a building part yourself. This can be useful if you're unsure whether it should be included, want to test its impact on the circularity score, or for any other reason.
To manually exclude a building part from the calculation:
◦ Click the action Set as 'Excluded by user' at Circularity details > Building parts.
◦ The field Excluded by user? will now be set to Yes.
