Building circularity criteria and indicators
Building circularity criteria refer to the general principles and standards that promote sustainability throughout a building’s entire lifecycle. These criteria cover aspects such as material use, energy efficiency, waste reduction, and social considerations, all aimed at aligning buildings with the principles of a circular economy.
You can configure a custom set of criteria that define the expected standards for a scenario. You can either use established standards such as BREEAM or create your own specific standard. When these criteria are linked to a scenario, they help determine whether each index meets the required standard.
To support this process, circularity criteria indicators help define a set of index fields based on the selected scenario fields. These indicators enable you to compare a calculated scenario with predefined criteria, making it easy to assess whether the scenario meets the expected circularity standards.
Each indicator can be configured separately, providing insights into which aspects of the scenario meet the requirements and which areas need improvement. This structured approach allows for better evaluation and optimization of building circularity performance.
