Applying the product requisition process
You can add the material costs of products (on the requisition lines) directly to maintenance jobs. This is made possible by adding a product requisition process to the maintenance activity definition.
Planon ProCenter supports two types of product requisition processes.
Informal process: via order lines. You select the purchase item (purchase information record) to add the material costs when completing the planned maintenance order.
Formal process: via requisition lines. The products must be acquired via the product requisition process, either to obtain the required materials from stock or to purchase them.
At Definitions & planning > Activity definitions, click Yes in the Apply product requisition process field, if you want to apply the formal process. When adding material costs, select the product that you require. The actual costs involved are automatically added to the maintenance order. If you click No, the informal process is applied.
Note
The product requisition process can be applied to all maintenance activity definition types (standard/asset/contract and survey maintenance activity definitions).
