Creating dynamic navigation links
For some business objects, such as Assets, Spaces, Workspaces (fixed), Reservation units (flexible workspaces) and Personnel, you can create dynamic navigation links. The main function of these navigation links is to generate dynamic QR codes for specific business object records.
Once created, the dynamic navigation links can be managed and processed in the dedicated Dynamic navigation links TSI. As the links and codes are dynamic, they keep functioning even when a linked record is updated.
System administrators can make the Create navigation links action available at the following locations:
• Assets (Pro) -> Assets level
• Spaces and Workspaces -> Spaces level and Workspaces level (Fixed workspaces)
• Reservations 1st gen -> Graphical planner > Flexible workspaces
• Reservations 2nd gen -> Filters -> Reservation units -> Flexible workspaces
• Personnel -> Personnel level
Procedure
1. In the relevant TSI, in this example Assets Pro, go the business object level where you want to create the navigation link: in this case the Assets level.
2. On the action panel, click Create navigation links.
3. In the pop-up, select the relevant dynamic navigation link type.
To create a dynamic QR code for use in the Planon app, select Dynamic navigation links (Planon app).
4. Click the Create links button.
5. Open the Dynamic navigation links TSI.
The new links are added in the elements list. Here, you can select and manage new and existing navigation links, and you can create dynamic QR codes. See About Dynamic navigation links for more information on using the links and creating dynamic QR codes.
