Reopening accounting commitments

The Reopen accounting commitments feature allows you to reopen accounting commitments that are related to the last closed period of the current financial year. For retroactively changed commitments, as well as reopened commitments, the ‘book period postings’ logic is based on the financial year's last closure date instead of the contract's last closure date.

Procedure

1. Go to Lease contracts (Lease accounting) > Contracts.

2. Select the contract to which you want to add contract details.

3. Select the record from the Contract details selection level and go to Amount details selection step.

4. Click Lease accounting commitments.

5. On the action panel, click Reopen accounting commitments.

Reopening of an accounting commitment is allowed only if a closed commitment is for the current financial year and it belongs to the accounting period of the closure date.
