Onboarding existing Lease contracts
Onboarding existing lease contracts is a special process of entering contracts into Lease accounting from Planon Lease accounting itself or a third party application. These contracts can be manually entered or imported through Planon as a Platform (PAAP) / Enterprise Talk (PEET) or Simple Data Interface. This process relies on prerequisites.
The carrying values are already carried on the Statement of financial positions. In other words, it’s not for a first-time application of the accounting standard.
The carrying values of lease liability, right-of-use asset and accumulated depreciation are entered as Offset values.
Accumulated impairment is not yet supported
Headlease and sublease are not yet supported.
Since calculation starts in Planon lease accounting at the onboarding date, it is not possible to make retroactive modifications prior to this date.
For more information on the procedures to do onboarding, see Onboarding procedure.
