Onboarding existing Lease contracts
Onboarding existing lease contracts is a special process of entering contracts into Lease accounting from Planon Lease accounting itself or a third party application. These contracts can be manually entered or imported through Planon as a Platform (PAAP) / Enterprise Talk (PEET) or Simple Data Interface. This process relies on prerequisites.
• The carrying values are already carried on the Statement of financial positions. In other words, it’s not for a first-time application of the accounting standard.
• The carrying values of lease liability, right-of-use asset and accumulated depreciation are entered as Offset values.
• Accumulated impairment is not yet supported
• Headlease and sublease are not yet supported.
• Since calculation starts in Planon lease accounting at the onboarding date, it is not possible to make retroactive modifications prior to this date.
