The Contract history selection step shows a contract’s history by listing changes made to specific fields of an active contract. Likewise, the Contract line history selection step shows the history of an active contract line by listing the changes made to specific fields.

For contracts in In preparation status and contract lines in Inactive status, you can choose whether Planon should maintain history for non-life cycle fields. By default, Planon does not track changes made during these statuses. If you want to keep a history of changes during In preparation or Inactive, enable the Log history - In preparation status setting in Field definer . For details on this setting, see Contract settings.

In Field definer , you can enable the History option for individual fields belonging to contracts or contract lines. When this option is enabled, every change to that field is saved automatically and becomes visible on the History selection step. For more information, see Enabling automatic history.
