Four eyes principle
The four eyes principle requires a second person to review and approve a business transaction before it takes effect. This control reduces errors and strengthens governance. In Planon, the Approval feature enforces this principle. The system applies changes only after an authorized approver confirms them. For more information, see Using approvals.
The four eyes principle can be used for the following business objects:
Contracts
Contract lines
Special lease amounts
Contract options
Properties and property details
Free business objects 46, 47 and 48 (Open Module)
By default, Planon supports one approver per approval flow. You can configure multiple approvers in TMS if required. The system also supports approvals for changes imported through integration tools such as Enterprise Talk and SDI. Imported changes trigger the approval workflow when they meet the defined approval conditions.
