Examples of using termination options
The examples in this section demonstrate different ways of using termination options.
Termination options can be used for the following purposes:
To terminate a contract.
To calculate and maintain the next possible end date (Next end date) and next possible notice date (Next notice date) for contracts that use recurring termination options.
For contracts with recurring termination options, Planon can automatically update the Next end date and Next notice date displayed on the Contracts selection level.
To update these dates, you can:
Click Recalculate notice dates on the action panel.
Configure an action definition in Alerts to update the dates automatically at scheduled intervals.
Updating the notice dates does not terminate the contract. Only the Next end date and Next notice date fields are recalculated and updated.
To terminate a contract, apply a termination option or set the contract status to Terminated.
