Automated refresh of reference date-aware calculated fields
You can now automate the refresh of reference date-aware calculated fields in the Data lake. By configuring an
Action definition (Alerts) on the
Data lake Info business object with the
Force Update action, you can schedule a periodic update (minimum interval: 24 hours) for selected business objects, for example Workspaces. This keeps their reference date-aware calculated values in the Data lake more up to date.
| To use this feature, you need to add the Force Update action to the layout of the Data lake info business object. |
In addition, each Data-lake–aware business object now includes a Last sync date field that shows when the data for that business object was last synchronized. This field is also available via OData.
When to use this
Use this option if you rely on reference date-aware calculated fields (for example, fields that determine which record is active based on start and end dates) and want more up-to-date snapshots in the data lake. The synchronization remains snapshot-based, but a regular scheduled update helps reduce gaps between the application status and the data stored in the data lake.
