Exporting a drawing in SVG format
CAD Integrator includes the ability to export drawings in SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) format.
SVG provides a high-quality, scalable representation of the drawing as rendered in the application, including space mappings, custom text, and other visual elements.
Unlike the existing PDF export functionality, SVG exports can only be performed individually (not in bulk). The resulting files are well-suited for use in external drawing tools and other systems that require a structured, editable format.
Including business metadata in the exported files supports downstream use cases such as:
• Preparing floor plans for signage or display in buildings.
• Enhancing navigation and wayfinding for occupants.
• Integrating spatial layouts into building management or automation systems.
Procedure
1. Open a drawing in CAD Integrator .
2. On the toolbar, click Export (
). The Export dialog appears.
3. As export format, click SVG and click OK.
A progress dialog appears.
4. When the processing is done, click Download.
Your drawing will be saved to your browser's download location.
