BIM
BIM (Building Information Modeling) can mean two things:
• the procedure for creating digital 3D building models
• the 3D building information model itself
BIM 3D models represent the physical, technical and functional characteristics of a building, for example a floor plan and construction details. They consist of XML files which include data which are of interest to various stakeholders during the full life cycle of a building, such as operational space managers, owners, occupants, facility and real estate managers.
