Backfilling IoT Readings in Planon IoT AWM Connector

Backfill is the process of retrieving and processing historical IoT data from a specified time period that was previously missed or not recorded. The Backfill action, added to the Planon IoT AWM connector, enables the system to manage and insert this historical data, thereby improving the accuracy of Digital twin calculations and AWM summarizations.
This process enhances the system's data integrity and reliability by ensuring that all relevant IoT readings are accounted for, enabling more precise analytics and reporting. By incorporating historical data into the system, the backfill process ensures that the system remains up-to-date and reflects the true state of the workplace environment.
Procedure
1. Go to Connectors > Connectors.
2. Select a connector that you want to backfill.
3. On the action panel, click Backfill.
The Enter values dialog box appears.
4. Select a Begin backfilling data from and Backfill data until from the date pickers in these fields.
 | There cannot be more than seven days between the begin date and end date of the backfill action. This limitation is to ensure system performance remains stable. |
5. Click OK.
The data is retrieved and stored.
