You can reschedule one or more planned activities using the Move to date option.
| You can also reschedule planned activities by dragging and dropping them in the planning view. |
Procedure
1. Select one or more planned activities.
2. Open the context menu of the planned activity you want to move.
3. Click Move to Date.
4. In the Calendar window:
◦ The current planned date and time are prefilled.
◦ Select the new date and time.
5. Select Align all Planned Activities to picked date, if required.
6. Click OK.
Align all Planned Activities to picked date
This option determines how multiple selected planned activities are moved.
When selected (Use this option when you want all selected activities to start at the same moment)
◦ All selected planned activities are moved to the same date and time.
◦ An error is shown if more than one selected planned activity belongs to the same activity definition.
When not selected (This option is useful when activities must keep their original sequence)
◦ The Planned Activity from which the context menu was opened is moved to the selected date and time.
◦ All other selected Planned Activities are moved by the same amount of time.
◦ The time difference between the activities remains unchanged.
| Planon remembers your last selection for Align all Planned Activities to picked date and uses it the next time you move activities. |
Move Planned Activities using drag and drop
◦ Drag and drop always moves planned activities with the same time difference.
◦ The alignment option does not apply when using drag and drop.
◦ Depending on the zoom level, activities snap to a day or week, while time of the day is preserved.
Example
◦ You select three planned activities scheduled one day apart.
◦ You move the first activity by two days:
▪ Without alignment: all three activities move by two days.
▪ With alignment: all three activities move to the same selected date and time.
