Standard activity definition | Reference to the standard activity definition on which the activitiy definition is based. This field is editable. | ||
Activity type | Select the type of maintenance for the activities generated from the activity definition: Routine, Statutory, Other mandatory or Replacement. | ||
Activity definition group | If you intend to apply PPM clustering for planned activities, select the relevant activity definition group used for clustering orders. See also: Generating clustered PPM orders. | ||
Quantity | Enter a quantity for the value that you entered in the Unit of measurement field. This quantity refers to value in the Unit of measurement field. | ||
Unit of measurement | Select a unit of measurement that applies to this activity definition. For example: the number of square feet of an asset that needs to be painted. | ||
Start date | Enter a start date for the activity definition. | ||
End date | Enter an end date for the activity definition. | ||
Next planned activity date | Displays the date of the next planned activity. This is the planned date of the activity that is planned after the last planned activity for which an order is completed.

Schedule | Displays the schedule of the planned activity. | ||
Property | Select a relevant property. | ||
Rentable unit | Select a relevant rentable unit. You can use both 'Rent-to' and 'Rent-from' units in planned maintenance. | ||
Space | Select a relevant space. If the asset is moved to a different location within the same property, Planon can either update the activity definition with the changed space, or create a new activity definition with the changed space. The existing activity definition is then ended. | ||
Asset | Select an asset for which you want to schedule maintenance activities. If this field is left empty, the maintenance activity definition will apply to the entire property or space or rentable unit instead of a specific asset or building element. | ||
Location assignment | Shows the location (combination of Property,Space and Quantity) of the asset. When filling in the asset, the location assignment will be automatically filled in for single assets. | ||
Suppress first activity? | Select the option Yes to set the first planned activity be generated at the start of the planning details or after the first cycle. | ||
Overruled by | If you linked several activity definitions to the same asset, which include equivalent work (activities), but which have a different schedule, it is possible to let the activities of the selected activity definition be overruled (for a specific period) by activities of another activity definition. You can select an overruling activity definition in this field. | ||
Period of overruling schedule | Specify a period of time to be deducted from the start date-time and added to the end date-time of the selected activity definition, to define a period within which the overruling activity definition is valid. | ||
Assessment definition | If you use Assessments, select a relevant assessment definition in this field. | ||
Asset classification | Select an asset classification. | ||
User-definable classification 1 | Select a user-definable classification. | ||
Apply product requisition? | Click Yes, to apply the formal requisition process. If you click No, the informal requisition process is carried out. | ||
Clustering allowed? | Select the relevant option whether or not the activities that are generated from this activity definition can be clustered or not. | ||
Standard order | Select a relevant standard maintenance order. This field must be completed to generate orders. | ||
Order group | Select an order group. This field must be completed to generate orders. | ||
Trade | If relevant, select a trade. The selected trade is applied when generating orders. | ||
Budget definition | Select a budget definition. The budget definitions specified in Supporting data are displayed. | ||
Service agreement service | If you work in a Service providers environment, you can select a relevant service agreement service. | ||
Total general costs excl. VAT | This read-only field displays the total of the general costs related to the activity definition, excluding tax / VAT. Only costs applicable as of the current reference date are considered. | ||
Total costs incl. VAT | This read-only field displays the total costs related to the activity definition, including tax / VAT. Only costs applicable as of the current reference date are considered. | ||
Total general costs incl. VAT | This read-only field displays the total of the general costs related to the activity definition, including tax / VAT. Only costs applicable as of the current reference date are considered. | ||
Total labor hour cost incl. VAT | This read-only displays the total labor hour cost per generated activity, including tax / VAT. | ||
